San Juanita Puga

My name is San Juanita Puga, I am a current student at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies in the area of bilingual education. I am the current Public Relations officer for the Bilingual Education Student Organization. I am also part of other student organization such as the Student Council for Exceptional Students and the pre-Vet Society. I enjoy volunteering for events when I have the chance to gain valuable teacher experiences that will help me in the future.

Pamela Garza

My name is Pamela Garza, I was born in Reynosa, Tamaulipas and moved to the states on the fourth grade. Learning English while learning other subjects as well was a hard experience, and it ultimately made me want to become a teacher. Currently I am a student at the University of Texas Rio Grande, and I am working on getting a major on Interdisciplinary Studies to become an elementary bilingual teacher. Hopefully this camp will help me learn more about what it is to be a great teacher and shows me many other new teaching techniques.
